#WeekendWin Celebrate Love
I absolutely LOVE seeing 2 people who are so rooted in their Christian faith pledge their lives to God and one another. I had a privilege of attending the wedding of a friend this weekend. She’s worked for us at the salon for a few years and we’ve been able to see her thrive. She is young, beautiful, talented, and full of faith. Being able to share in her big day that she’s been waiting for was so special for my mom and I. They got married at a ranch under beautiful oak trees. Seeing how her husband watched her come down the aisle was precious. A happy, radiant young couple in love. And of course, we got to witness this moment for them in our fancy black dresses. 😉
As much as I love being able to share in wedding celebrations, sometimes it always makes me think of how different my life would’ve been if I didn’t have Lupus and hadn’t been sick for all these years. Would I have gotten married young as well, healthy with the opportunity to start a family with the man I loved?
Isn’t life curious? The “what-if’s” and the “I wonder’s” always have the possibility to creep in our minds, and that’s okay to an extent. I try to live without regret because I’ve come so far, and have tried to make choices that would best enrich my lives. Life always places obstacles in our way, not to make things seem impossible to achieve, but to test us and see how we overcome them. I never dwell on what could have been in my life because my obstacles have made me the woman I am, and who I continue to become. This wedding was another reminder to appreciate each moment, embrace the future with open arms and look forward to it with excitement.
