March Madness

March Madness

Where has this month already gone?! I can’t deal with the time passing so quickly. The older I get, the faster time goes by. Can it please just slow down?

It’s been a busy month so far, and our mother-daughter European getaway is happening in about 4 weeks from today! Holy moly, I’m definitely not ready for that. I was the genius who planned the trip and as excited as I am, it’s been snowing in Italy, and throughout a lot of Europe. Yes, snowing…I keep seeing pictures of people in our town making snowmen and everything is blanketed in white. Beautiful right? Sure…but it’s giving me quite a bit of anxiety because my So Cal wardrobe isn’t cut out for the snow. Fingers cross it regulates and springtime arrives by the time we get there!!

What I don’t like about this time of the year is the dreaded daylight saving’s time. Aside from the fact that Springing Forward always messes everyone up, I don’t understand the purpose of it. I know you’re thinking, “ohhh Katiuscia, it’s all about the longer days.” To which I will rebut, no way!! Why do we feel compelled to create longer days? Can’t we just love the time as it is? Forward an hour, back an hour, guess what? You end up right where you started. There are states that don’t participate in DST, and I really wish that pertained to us here in California.

So we’ve established something I love and hate about this month so far… LOVE: our big upcoming trip (even though I am super anxious about that snow!). HATE: Stupid pointless daylight saving’s time. 😉

But what I LOVE LOVE most of all about March…. #ExpoWest! The Natural Products Expo is the absolute highlight of my year. I’ve been going for 5 years and each year it is consistently more amazing. I feel so lucky to be able to attend this expo and have the ability to connect with companies that have made such an impact on my life through their foods and supplements. I did weeks of research leading up to the expo to figure out which vendors I needed to visit and I created a layout and itinerary for the weekend.

As a healthy lifestyle blogger, I am trying to find the products that are innovative in the industry, the products that have facts backing them, and then connect with the companies and people who represent them. I’ve said it before, but the reason I’m so particular about my foods and supplements is because I expect total transparency from companies, and I want to always be as aware as possible of the things I put in my body. My Lupus has been controlled through my healthy lifestyle, so I will continue using the things that make my lifestyle easier and enjoyable. I definitely found the companies I love when I want that #treatyoself moment as well!

Coolest part of the expo for me was meeting other Lupus sufferer’s, talking to them about my blog, being recognized for the blog, and just being able to share my story and how certain products have benefitted me!

It is truly a privilege and honor to be able to connect with people. Between this blog and my articles online, I can’t say enough how grateful I am!

To the companies that are shown in this picture, the people I met that brought me so much joy, and everyone I was able to share with…. I humbly thank you. Thank you for being a part of my journey♥
