Have you woken up lately early in the am and wished for 5 more minutes in bed? Haha, who are we kidding… I think that’s almost every morning. The reality is that a lot of people don’t get enough sleep, or enough quality sleep. Do you have kids or pets? Then THAT reality is that sleeping in doesn’t exist and you never get enough sleep.
Now I’m going to go out on a limb and point out the obvious that I am slightly obsessed with my dogs. I don’t want backlash from anyone so I’m not going to compare them 100% to a human child, but let’s be honest. I can’t have kids, Daisy and Lola are my lovebugs and pretty close to kids for me, so yes, I’m a proudly obsessed dogmom. Anyone who has dogs that are part of their family understand the love, loyalty, and companionship.
Today was one of those mornings that I was exhausted. Consistent workouts and probably not enough rest days contribute to the exhaustion. So I got up and brushed my teeth, and decided I needed 5 more minutes to snuggle with LolaBoo who slept on my bed. I walked in my room and she was sitting perfectly straight up on the floor staring at the bed…and heaving. So I rushed her to the hallway where she convulsed for a while before throwing up twice. Have you ever seen your dog get sick? Much like a child in the sense of innocence, how scary do you think it is for the pups? Tail goes in between the legs and they just look around confused. I don’t like when anyone is any kind of sick, and it makes me even more sad for dogs and kiddos who just don’t understand. I don’t think she ate anything that didn’t agree with her because she was fine the entire night. But what’s even more frustrating for me is not knowing WHY she got sick like that. Fact is, whether it’s kids or pets, when your bebe is sick, you’re helpless and it’s such a bummer, end of story.
